Walla Walla Solar Farm

Welcome to the proposed Walla Walla Solar Farm

FRV Services Australia (FRV) is constructing a 300 megawatt (MWac) solar farm near Walla Walla in NSW. The solar farm will utilise the region’s abundant sunlight to generate clean, renewable energy for business and households in NSW.

The Independent Planning Commission (IPC) provided planning consent for the Project on 27th November 2020 after extensive community consultation and detailed assessment of the Project proposal. The solar farm is due to commence construction in January 2023.

FRV is a global renewable energy solutions provider and leading solar developer. With a strong presence in Australia, FRV has a portfolio of successful solar projects currently operating and under development across the country. FRV’s current portfolio of solar farms in Australia is shown below. Its most recent solar farm, the Metz Solar Farm in NSW, began electricity production in March 2022.

Approved Environmental Documentation

The decision of the IPC and approval documents, including the conditions of consent, can be viewed on the Department of Planning’s website, here.

The conditions of consent require FRV to complete a range of supplementary environmental documentation and management plans:
An Independent Environment Audit (IEA) has recently been undertaken to assess the environmental performance and compliance status of the Walla Walla Solar Farm. The audit findings and the response to the non-compliances can be found below:
